FORMULA 10.0.6 - PRODUCT REVIEW

Hey guys, a skin care range that I've been loving as of late is formula 10.0.6, so I thought I'd properly start off my new blogging escapade with a product review!

I think It's a really great brand, since using I've noticed my skin has been a lot more clear and healthy in appearance (as the packaging claims!). I can't really say I've ever had bad skin, which I'm quite fortunate for, but I've I've definitely noticed an improvement :) Another reason that drew me to try this range was that it's made in Australia.

So, let's get into it! I'd like to start with the 'SO TOTALLY CLEAN' Deep Pore Cleanser - Original Formula. This has probably got to be my favourite product that I've tried of theirs thus far, it's a 2-in-1 cleanser and toner, and it smells lovely (although a bit potent). I find that it really clears my skin, and takes off any excess dirt, and oil that could be left behind after I cleanse. While the positives outweigh the negatives, there is one con to this product, and it is that it feels slightly harsh on my skin, not harsh enough to stop using, as it definitely does the job, but I find that it can sting a bit, so I feel like next time I may try their other 2-in-1 cleanser and toner; for sensitive skin with cucumber & sea kelp. Overall, I'd definitely recommend it. I use this more as a toner morning and night after I cleanse my face using the 'BEST FACE FORWARD' Daily Foaming Cleanser. 

So second in line is the 'BEST FACE FORWARD' Daily Foaming Cleanser with Passionfruit and Green Tea, and as mentioned, I first cleanse my face with this, prior to using the previously mentioned 'SO TOTALLY CLEAN', 2-in-1 Cleanser and Toner (probably should have ordered this differently). This product is great, and in no way harsh on my skin. I use it twice daily, and in the nights I use it after I remove my make up with a make up wipe. The passionfruit and green tea give it a great smell (and compliments my Swisspers green tea wipes). One thing I would like to point out is that it doesn't quite foam as much as expected, but overall it does a good job :)

Next up is the 'ONE SMOOTH OPERATOR' Pore Clearing Face Scrub with Zinc, Oat, and Pumice. I don't use this one quite that often, as the next product i'm going to speak about also works as a scrub, but It does a great job, I always find my skin feeling smooth after use, as it promises, and I don't find it rough on my skin. The best thing about it is the smell, I can't even explain it, the zinc, oat, and pumice mix together so well! So if you're looking for a face scrub, I'd definitely recommend!

Fourth in line is the 'THREE TIMES SUBLIME' 3 in 1 Blackhead Wash, Scrub, and Mask with Pink Grapefruit and Jojoba. This is a new buy for me, and as I mentioned, I alternate between this and the 'ONE SMOOTH OPERATOR', as I can be quite lazy. This is a 3 in 1, which is great. When I do use this one, it's after I've cleaned my face, the directions say to leave on for 10-15 minutes, then you dampen, massage and wash off, it's great, and has the jojoba beads which exfoliate, leaving my face super clean and smooth. I have a real problem with blackheads on my nose (I'm probably exaggerating, but I am pretty self-conscious of them!). So all-in-all, I'm loving this new buy.

Next up is the 'PORES BE PURE' Skin-Clarifying Mud Mask, with Strawberry and Yarrow. I'm just going to come right out and say it, I do not like this product. I've had it for a while and rarely use it, as it doesn't react well with my skin, it stings and really irritates it. There's nothing saying that that is normal (whereas it says on the 'THREE TIMES SUBLIME' that a tingling or heating sensation is normal), so I'm going to put it down to a reaction. I've spoken to a few friends who have tried it, and have all said that they have also experienced this, whereas others have said they do experience an initial stinging sensation, but it works brilliantly for them. So I'm not saying this is a terrible product, it might not irritate everyone's skin, but just beware that if you do have sensitive skin, that you might want to try one of their other mud masks, or the 'THREE TIMES SUBLIME' 3-in-1 :)

I have just purchased the 'DOWN TO THE PORE' Blackhead Banishing Pore Strips, with Tea Tree and Kaolin. I saw a review on youtube, comparing these to the Bioré pore strips (which I usually use) and said reviewer decided these were the way to go, so I decided to give them a go! I've only tried them once, but have found them better! 

Last but not least, is the 'PICTURE PERFECT DAY' Gel Moisturiser with SPF 15, with Guava and Vitamin C. This is another new buy for me, as I've only had a night moisturiser for a while (bad me), so I haven't been applying any products with sun protection of a morning. I will now thank myself later on in life! I like to use this as part of my morning routine, after cleansing and toning. Definitely recommend, although I got a bit of an irritation under my eyes.
